What we publish
Guides, a glossary, an FAQ, calculators and blog posts about Polymarket Perps, Polymarket prediction markets and the PolyTerminal terminal. The purpose is to explain how the markets and their rules work so that you can decide for yourself.
Where facts come from
- Official documentation first. Rules of Polymarket (fees, resolution, margin, funding, limits) come from docs.polymarket.com and Polymarket's public endpoints. We do not take rules from blogs, exchanges or other guides, because they disagree with each other and go out of date.
- A list of approved statements about PolyTerminal. What we say about the product comes from a short list that the team has approved. If a feature, a number or a promise is not on that list, we do not write it.
- Our own calculations, shown with the formula, for examples.
How a rule gets onto a page
We store every number that is a rule of someone else's system once, in a registry, with four things: the value, the official page it comes from, the day it was compared with that page, and a short piece of text that page must contain. Pages take the value from the registry instead of retyping it, and an automated check fails a page that shows a bare percentage, dollar amount, multiplier or time limit that is neither in the registry nor in a labelled example. At the end of each guide, calculator and post, a table lists the rules used, their sources and their dates.
How we keep pages current
- Each guide, calculator and post shows two dates: Checked against the docs (the last day we compared its rules with the official text) and Updated (the last day the page itself changed). The company pages, including this one, show no dates.
- Every Monday a script downloads Polymarket's current documentation and checks that the stored piece of text of each rule is still on its page. For the public Perps market list it checks the stored counts instead. It also runs our copy check against the fresh pages, which flags text that repeats Polymarket's wording.
- If something no longer matches, the script opens an issue that lists what to re-check. A person then reads the official page again and, where a rule has changed, updates the registry and the articles that use it. The script cannot tell whether a changed number is still correct; people decide that.
- Polymarket changes its rules often. Where we know that a rule has changed, we show when, instead of only the current value.
What we do not publish
- Price predictions, trading signals or "what to buy".
- Promises of profit, or language that hides risk.
- Advice on getting around the legal limits of your country.
- Paid placements. This site has no affiliate links and no sponsored articles.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help draft and edit text. A tool is never the source of a fact: a rule is published only if it can be traced to an official page in the registry described above.
Independence and money
PolyTerminal is not operated or endorsed by Polymarket. PolyTerminal is free to use. Orders placed through PolyTerminal carry PolyTerminal's Polymarket builder code, and PolyTerminal may charge a builder fee on top of Polymarket's own fees; the about page and the risk disclosure explain how that works. This is a commercial interest in people using the terminal, and we state it on every page so that you can weigh what you read.
Corrections
If you find an error, write to support@poly-terminal.com with the page and what is wrong. We check it against the official source and correct confirmed errors. On guides, calculators and posts, the "Updated" date moves when we do.
