Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By opening or using PolyTerminal, including this website and the terminal (together, "the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "PolyTerminal", "we" and "us" mean the operator of the Service.

2. What the Service is

PolyTerminal is a web and phone interface that shows Polymarket markets and lets you place orders on them. It also publishes guides, a glossary, an FAQ and calculators about Polymarket.

• Markets, prices, order books, positions and balances come from Polymarket.
• Orders you place go to Polymarket's own order books and are matched, settled and resolved by Polymarket under Polymarket's rules.
• Market rules, resolution, margin, liquidation and Polymarket's own fees are set by Polymarket, not by us.

We provide the interface only. PolyTerminal is not affiliated with, operated by or endorsed by Polymarket. Polymarket's own terms apply to your use of Polymarket, and you must accept them there.

3. Eligibility and availability

You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to use prediction markets and perpetual futures where you live. The Service uses Polymarket's official geoblock check and is not available in all regions. Polymarket publishes its own lists of restricted places, they differ between Perps and prediction markets, and they can change. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to you. Do not try to get around a restriction.

4. Your wallet and your funds

You sign in and connect a crypto wallet through Privy, and any crypto wallet can be used. We do not hold your funds. Deposits, balances and trades live on Polymarket and in your wallet. You remain solely responsible for:

• The security of your wallet, keys and devices. We never ask for your private key or seed phrase.
• Every order and transfer you approve.
• Understanding the markets you trade, including how they resolve and, on Perps, how margin, funding and liquidation work.
• Any taxes that arise from your activity.

5. Financial risk

Prediction-market shares can fall to zero. Perps positions are leveraged and can be liquidated, and Polymarket describes cases where an account can lose more than a single position. Short markets, such as the Up/Down windows, can change from certain to wrong in seconds. Past results, prices and figures shown in the Service do not predict future results. Calculators and guides are for information and use simplified inputs: check the result against Polymarket before you rely on it.

6. Cost

The Service is free to use. There is no subscription and no paid plan. Orders placed through PolyTerminal carry our Polymarket builder code, and a builder fee may apply on top of Polymarket's own fees. Polymarket's fees are set by Polymarket and shown by Polymarket.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in a way that breaks the law or Polymarket's rules.
• Circumvent a geographic or other restriction, or help someone else do so.
• Abuse the Service, overload it or scrape it at scale without written permission.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or copy the Service, except where the law allows it.
• Use the Service to manipulate markets or to defraud anyone.
• Try to gain access to systems or accounts that are not yours, or send malware.

We may suspend access for use that breaks these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service depends on services we do not control, including Polymarket, Privy, your wallet and blockchain networks. They can change, be slow, fail or be unavailable, and their terms and privacy policies apply to what they do.

9. Intellectual property

The design, code, text and trademarks of PolyTerminal belong to us or our licensors. Do not use our name, logo or branding without written permission. Polymarket's name and marks belong to Polymarket. The guides on this website explain Polymarket's public documentation in our own words and name their sources.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, PolyTerminal and the people who build it are not liable for:

• Trading losses, liquidations, failed or delayed orders, or prices that differ from what you expected.
• Outages, data loss, errors in third-party data, or the actions of Polymarket, Privy or any other third party.
• Indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the fees you paid us, if any, in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any figure, price or calculation in it is accurate or current.

12. Changes

We may change the Service and these Terms. When a change is material we will say so on this website and update the date above. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept it.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of PolyTerminal is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless the law of your place of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.
